Streetcage Sports frontman Sean Santos could soon be lining up for England at an
international skills contest in France.
The 11-year-old from Moreton, Wirral, is one of 96 youngsters to make
it into the final selection process to find a national team of 16 for
the Danoe Cup in September.
Sean,
who fronts Streetcage Sports's website, qualified for the group after
passing the Liverpool trials at the beginning of August. More than 3,000
children competed in the match scenarios, skills tests, team coaching
and individual coaching sessions during the nationwide trials.
The Streetcage Sports star was also invited to a special training session
last weekend with Ex-England players Neil Ruddock and Chris Waddle in
London. All 96 youngsters had to repeat the skills at QPR's ground, but
the final team has not yet been selected to represent England in France.
David McDermott, who is co-owner of Streetcage Sports, said "We
recognised Sean's talents with a football a few years back. His image,
style and dedication to be the best represents what Streetcage Sports
is about. Matthew Shannon, who is also coowner of Streetcage Sports, said:
"It is a tremendous achievement for Sean. We wish him the best of
luck and are honoured to have him on the web site."
