Streetcage Sports now member of Street Football World

Streetcage Sports is now a registered member of Street football world, an organisation that aims to bring Street football together and Unite it world wide.

Whether on Rio’s beaches, in Nairobi’s suburbs, or on Berlin’s soccer pitches – street football is everywhere. And if players have no ball, they make do with cans or bundles of plastic. Millions of children, youths, and young adults, including growing numbers of girls, play street football – and streetfootballworld is bringing them all together. Working in unison with Jürgen Klinsmann’s Youth Football Foundation, we are networking street football projects around the world. It's all about the fun of football – and the good things about it: team spirit, global learning, and living without violence. It’s all about football as a cultural mediator and a medium for social development.

Streetfootballers from Kenya picking up tips from London’s Street League, young people from Argentina volley passing with project partners from Germany – football is overcoming social, political and geographical borders. streetfootballworld is the first worldwide forum for street football. From its base in Berlin, the streetfootballworld team organises project exchanges, plans joint events, sets milestones and provides a platform for on-going parallel support, both educational and scientific. At present, the network comprises around 60 street football initiatives with projects from all five continents
