Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council

The Community team works in partnership with a host of clubs, associations, schools, voluntary organisations and individuals to provide leisure and activities in the borough.
They aim to offer something for everyone, whether it's to keep mentally and physically active, meet people and make friends, take up a new interest, develop and learn new skills or just make the most of your leisure time.
In July 2008, Ellesmere Port & Neston council began a successful partnership with Streetcage Sports working with over 40 youths, 2 days a week in Ellesmere Port and also continuing to run its highly successful Friday night project in Stanney Park Neston with as many as 35 Youths.
Plans are now in place to work on a 3 year bid for the area that will see the cage be supplied with brand new state of the art synthetic grass as well as new equipment and kit, qualified coaches and a brand new coach education programme for youths across Cheshire who would like to become qualified coaching staff. The bid will also see qualified coaches & assessors working closely with pupils from Neston High school to deliver coach education programmes to local students.
Michelle Aspden, Sports development officer for Ellesmere Port & Neston said “The programme is fantastic for the youths in the area, we have really struggled to attract youths to the cage in Seacombe drive, however Streetcage Sports have changed that and we hope to build long lasting projects in the future”
