The
event was part of the The North West Police Dragon boat race, where 400 young
people had the chance to take part in boat races in the water at the Albert
Dock. Streetcage Sports where invited to perform at the event as part
of their ongoing plans to set up and provide Street football across 35
sites of Liverpool.
Streetcage
staff where on hand to take a range of fantastic footage that can be viewed
by clicking on both the Gallery and Video page. We now have plans to continue
working with Richie in the near future during events across The North West
to promote Streetcage Sports and the work that we do.
Streetcage Sports also had Linton Gynane on the decks to show young people
how to scratch and mix music for Free style artists such as Richie to
perform to.
Linton has over ten years experience as a recording and performance artist.
He has worked as a producer and a DJ recording in collaboration with other
artists, and recording and releasing his own work; and has currently returned
from a tour of the Caribbean.
As a teacher Linton has worked in Liverpool Community College, teaching
DJing and Turntablism as part of the Music-Technology course. He has delivered
a number of workshops on behalf of Nugent Education; for Liverpool Youth
Service, Knowsley DLCS, Edge Hill Youth Club - Return to Learn Scheme
and many others. We have always received excellent feedback for his work.
